No, seriously: Del Rey just picked it up. Something to look forward to after Seth Grahame-Smith's Abraham Lincoln, Vampire Hunter ...

Every time I think I might have made peace with Del Rey *sigh*... *shakes fist* First Star Wars, and now Little Women! Is nothing sacred anymore?!

One must admit, though, that werewolves fit much better with the whole "control your baser emotions" theme running through Little Women than zombies fit with Pride and Prejudice. :-)

This is very true, and since I did enjoy Pride and prejudice and Zombies I'm probably going to pick up and also enjoy the Little Women book. Though I was much less attached to the original material in the case of the zombies...

I'm a P&P fan from way back, and I do admit that my major complaint about P&P&Z was that it would have been a lot funnier if it had been a closer pastiche. But that's me ...

I'm already kinda bored with the whole subgenre. Once was fun, a series of this sort just doesn't appeal to me for some reason

I was never really into mash-up or monsters before (that was my brother) -- I'm really here for the historical pastiche, I think.

it would help if I liked literature from that time period but in all honesty it's not my favorite

I feel the same way about the 18th century. I forced myself through a graduate seminar when I thought I might still be going to be a professor, because early survey courses run through that, but ugh. Although I did enjoy this exchange between Boswell and Dr. Johnson after one of their club meetings:
Dr. Johnson: "Well, sir, we had good talk!"
Boswell: "Yes, sir: you tossed and gored several persons."
Hee.
