I have decided that the greatest advantage of a free press is that it obviates the need to saddle your seditious, offensive, or merely controversial publication with a false imprint -- although unscrupulous booksellers would probably still counterfeit the devices of the Elzeviers and the Giunti in order to make a quick buck, so my job (which includes the mandate to record the actual printer's name, when possible) wouldn't be that much easier. (Every little bit helps, though!)
