Snagged from [livejournal.com profile] evil_little_dog, who got it from [livejournal.com profile] cornerofmadness:
If you make up titles for stories I didn't write, I will respond with details of those non-written stories.

So basically, give me a title and fandom I'll give you a quick summary of a story that I would write, using that title.
I'll take any fandom I'm familiar with, whether I've written for it already or not (since I don't actually have to write these stories, right? Right?).

Generous of you.:-)
Cogito Ergo Oops! (FMA): Crackish drabble concerning Edward and Alphonse Elric's first attempt at bringing back their mother, which accidentally summons another spirit instead. "Who's Wilbur, brother?" "I dunno, but next time, we're using our own blood."

Touch and Go (Vorkosiverse): It was supposed to be a routine pick-up, but instead, Miles found himself captured by a Cetagandan ghem-lord with a penchant for old Earth strategy games. Can he play his way out?

Blackstar County (The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr.): Brisco's latest attempt to prove himself innocent of the treason charge still hanging over him is thwarted by the appearance of his evil twin brother ...
I am not writing any of these. Nope, nope, nope ...

I can still remember LMAO at the first episode; the darn of it is that it's been so long I can't quite remember why. Time to get the DVDs from the rental place and rediscover old amusements.

Sometimes I think there isn't enough good storytelling out there. Then I tot up the number of books and DVDs on my want list and realize I don't have to turn into a curmudgeon just yet. On this issue, anyway.

Yes, it's just getting the general public to be interested in good writing.

Ditto. Oh, well.

3 A.M. Epiphany - FMA
Anime or mangaverse. Sad little sketch about the things Al thinks about in the middle of the night, while Ed (and most of the rest of the world) is sleeping, culminating in the hopeful recognition that the one certainty of night is that morning follows.
Mistress of the art of death - FMA
Mangaverse. Riza Hawkeye comes to terms with her participation in the Ishbal War on the target range, searching for a way to renounce both pride in her skill and guilt over its use. Her detachment is incomplete: though no longer haunted by Kimbley's Social Darwinist philosophy, she is subconsciously animated by devotion to Roy Mustang, foreshadowing her meltdown in the face of Roy's supposed death at Lust's hands.
The Mirror Pool - FMA
Mangaverse. Envy, taking a break from traveling, visits a pool famed for putatively revealing the true self of the viewer who gazes within it. After feigning a Narcissus-like moment of connection with his own reflection, he assumes his true form to destroy the pool and kill its caretaker -- then moves on, chuckling over human gullibility and self-involvement.

these are very cool. I would really like to see the Riza one. You always see a big ta-doo about Roy's war angst but not Riza's....hmmmm

I agree. But argh: research issues, research issues (though I do have a friend who shoots for sport ... and there is a copy of Zen in the Art of Archery upstairs ... )
