... as soon as I finish packing, complete my travel arrangements, send off the last writing contest entry due this month, get my cell phone fixed, and take out the trash. (And figure out what entries I've forgotten to make on my to-do list.) Oy. It's such a relief to have a friendly panel of Girl Genius to take my mind off all the pre-vacation hullaballoo. "World's Best Boss," indeed! :-)

Heh. Knew you'd get that ...

Thanks! I shall probably report upon my return, unless I'm up to my neck in work again. The things in my IN tray this past week ... [shudders]

[nods at icon] Don't I wish. My supervisor, otherwise a lovely and tolerant woman, has been snickering wickedly at me every time I complain about the fact that every single copy of Du Bartas his Deuine Weekes and Workes in our collection has ISSUES (missing leaves, including title pages; addenda randomly inserted; parts of two different editions cobbled together to make up a complete text; incomplete earlier editions bound with later individual publications ... ), because I asked for this project. I tell her that it was a perfectly decent project until she got back from vacation. I was zipping through seventeenth-century playscripts, none of them longer than fifty pages, but she returns and the shelves mysteriously rearrange themselves to place these enormous honking volumes of pre-Miltonian (heck, sub-Miltonian!) Biblical paraphrase next in line. Argh!

Sub-Miltonian? The mind boggles.

Actually, the mind runs and hides. *shudder*
