Poetry: Untitled #2 and #3
Feb. 19th, 2007 12:12 pmWaka seem easy:
Like riding a bicycle,
Until you fall off.
Even face-down in the dirt,
I curse in fives and sevens.
+ + +
Pink cherry blossoms,
Wind-shaken, coat with petals
Our tree-shadowed streets:
Unexpected paint job for
A friend's once-white Volkswagen.
Author's Note: Suddenly I'm writing tanka. Oh, well. The first was crossposted to
just_tanka on a lark; the second left in the same group as a comment on this poem.
