Personal Note: What is the singular of kudos?

According to the Oxford English Dictionary, that indispensable handbook for the amateur philologist, it's "kudos" (because the word was ported over directly from the Greek, in case you're wondering). I received another round thereof today, courtesy of fullservicefma's July/August Challenge ...

First place went to hieronymousb's tale "Threnody", which I picked to win the minute I saw it posted. Its encounter between Winry and Roy Mustang tugged on the heartstrings more adeptly than my rather stiff-upper-lip take on Maria Ross in exile. (Which has been substantially revised since its original appearance -- I wasn't satisfied with it when I posted it back in July, but now it's much better, I think. Anyone with an opinion is welcome to weigh in.)
