Congratulations to [livejournal.com profile] lyric_nonsense for taking first place in the dotmoon.net UFO awards in the Fullmetal Alchemist category with "Scars and Consequences" (her last year's EdWinry Fire and Ice Challenge piece, IIRC). Further congratulations to [livejournal.com profile] artemisrae for taking the Members' Choice award in the same category for "From Here On." You go, people!

And I leap for joy that my own "So a Cat Walks Into a Bar" earned third place overall and Members' Choice in the Princess Tutu category. I didn't think it had much of a chance, given what it was up against. So yay!

Nominations are open for this year's UFOs over here and I am proud to have seconded [livejournal.com profile] evil_little_dog's Marking Time in the unfinished works category. Must begin considering what to nominate this year ...

That was a pleasant surprise! Congrats on your own award - and thank you again for nominating me!

I won't deny it gave me a little push on my contest fic. Is yours being any more cooperative yet?

You're welcome. I love nominating people. It gives me a warm, fuzzy glow inside, like a flashlight under a fluffy blanket. :-)

It's now trying to repudiate its prompt, but I'm fighting back. I'm going to finish it, by golly, but I'm not sure I'll have it done in time for the contest. Feh. Oh, well, more writing time tomorrow ...

No problem. I get warm fuzzies from seconding, too (see above). I think I threw another of your pieces into the ring as well -- if there's an FMA category up tomorrow, it's because I nominated it into existence. :-)
