When the mods at fullservicefma were running a contest every month or so last year, I'd read the post and say, "Oh, man, no way I'd ever come up with something for that!" -- and then a day or so later I'd be writing. :-) There's just something about a challenge. Heck, the other story I worked on all last month went off to a horror contest, of all things. I'll be interested to see what my usual readership makes of that one, once the anonymity stricture drops and I can post it to my own journal ...
