Spent the day working on my entry for the Ed/Winry "Fire and Ice" Challenge, which has decided to snuggle up to its prompt and wax inventive. Huzzah! I've been able to weave in the prompt both literally and metaphorically, found a last line with a useful double-meaning to bring things to a close, and drafted enough verbiage today to put me over the minimum word count. Phew. I'd been worried about that, but it seems that this piece will be longer than I'd initially thought. Proper exposition and set-up always requires more space than I plan.

And now I shall go and prepare my evening meal and try not to worry about how I'm getting over the next transition. (C'mon, you guys, do something! Then you can talk all you want.)
