Holy Week is only three-eighths over and I'm already exhausted. Possibly I shouldn't have spent Sunday afternoon having fun with
nateprentice and his kids at the local anthropology museum, but its new Mayan pottery exhibit was calling. Plus, I think that's the last fun I'm having till Easter, so it was worth it for the mental lift. Spent Monday shopping by day and rehearsing by night; Tuesday handling the rest of the week's errands by day at singing at a church service by night. Today is cooking, day 1: soup. The veal-barley soup is already in the slow cooker; I'm taking a breather before I launch into the pasta e fagioli. Sadly, I think my microwave may have died: I was boiling water in it when it began emitting a weird noise, like a hum on steroids mixed with a low rattle, and a weirder scorching smell. I unplugged it immediately and there it sits. No time for a consult with my electronics-ept friend this week, alas. Fortunately I'm going to be able to cook around it -- it's about time I learned how to melt chocolate in a double-boiler, after all.
Hey,
evil_little_dog, I finally submitted another post to the wallpaper scene. Sorry for the delay. I do know what happened -- it's just going to take a little work to get either of them to admit to it. Stubborn lads.
