Personal Note: A warm welcome back
Dec. 1st, 2008 10:10 amHelp, help, I am slowly dessicating.
Asbestos abatement was being performed at my place of employment over the holiday weekend -- how jolly! In order not to give us all cancer for Christmas, the air handlers were turned off until Health'n'Safety confirms that no asbestos remains to roam free through the building, which I consider right neighborly of them.
Except that the whole process is running behind schedule.
So the air handlers are still off.
And we have no openable windows.
At last look, the thermostat was holding steady at 88 degrees Fahrenheit. A number of my colleagues have packed it in and gone home. I can't; I don't have the vacation days to spare. Health'n'Safety's latest projection is that we might perhaps maybe see the air handlers returned to service this afternoon. I'm not laying money on it.
I was going to post about What I Did Over My Thanksgiving, but I can't remember any of it right now ... [continues to dessicate]
