Like the man who wore it, the charcoal Nehru suit had known better days. Rufus Zeno had bespoken it two decades ago, when he could afford such tailoring, but even the best worsteds eventually began to fray at knees and elbows. The suit's cut, too, was vintage now; only Rufus's assurance prevented it from appearing old-fashioned. The classics never go out of style, he thought as he pretended to browse the shelves of a secondhand bookshop whose upstairs windows conveniently overlooked the entrance of the ristorante opposite.

Sunday got eaten by the Legend of Korra finale at one end and church followed by dinner out at the other. Still, nulla dies sine linea, and today looks like being more productive.
