Well, it's Studio Bones again, so it makes sense that they'd save time/money by using their previously established character designs (which were lovely). No word yet, as far as I've been able to glean, how they're going to handle the actual story -- there was a leak earlier this year that let slip the existence of this project, but since then they've been holding their cards a lot closer to their chest.
I'm guessing we'll get some kind of abbreviated introductory sequence up through Lab 5 and aftermath, and then hit the ground running where the original anime and manga diverged, but that's just my thought.
As long as they don't use big-round-eyes-Winry from the front end of the Briggs arc. I don't know which of Arakawa's assistants was handling her in those chapters, but I was unimpressed. Fortunately, things got better as the arc went on and have been fine since ...
That would be awesome. I didn't think the movie was all that good and continuing off from there might be kinda awkward. Besides, how hot would animated Ling be? *melts* Yay for free plot bunnies. :P
I am definitely looking forward to animated Ling -- also to animated Olivier, if we manage to get that far, and animated homunculus-in-a-jar meets young Hohenheim (because I'm a sucker for tragedy).
YES! I think so far Envy-in-a-jar has made me laugh the hardest in the manga. That and Hoho's hero line last chapter. ;D Oliviar would be cool...and scary. I could die happy if they animated the citizens of Xing.
