Random: I wish I worked there, too, sometimes

I have a friend who teaches classical languages in high school and loves it for many reasons -- not least, she tells me recently, because the chemistry teacher came dressed as Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle for Halloween.

How did said teacher manage that?
On the front of her shirt, a card with little German flags on each corner, and some latitude/longitude coordinates. Hence, we know the particle's location. (The coordinates happened to be in Germany -- hence the flags -- Herr Heisenberg's home town, IIRC.) On the back of her shirt, some numbers indicating velocity. Thus, we know the particle's velocity ... but we don't know the location and the velocity at the same time.
What makes it even better, my friend adds, is that all the humanities teachers got the joke with very little prompting. So shines a good jest in a sober world ...

I so wish I had thought of it first.

I wonder if Halloween costume plagiarism is a social solecism locally ...
