It also doesn't help that I can't quite remember who among the other authors it is that I've seen post a well-written story and who might be responsible for one of the winter prompt pieces -- that is, if it's not you, since I don't know whether you chose a summer or a winter prompt.

I chose a summer prompt, if that helps any. I thought about doing a winter prompt, but the muse doesn't want to write winter stories when I'm sitting around broiling. Fickle muse.

It's kind of funny, now that I'm thinking about it, off the top of my head I can only identify the stories written by you, [livejournal.com profile] evil_little_dog, [livejournal.com profile] cornerofmadness, and [livejournal.com profile] terracottabones (and my own, of course). I guess part of it is just I'm more familiar with your writing styles out of the dozen.

Oh well, I have a week to wrestle with my morality demons. Plenty of time to read and reread and see if I can pick a clear favorite for each category without thinking about the author. Then there's always the alternative of just voting for myself across the board. ;)
